PsychByte: Stress in America Survey from APA

Stress in America Survey from APA

On March 16, 2016 the American Psychological Association released the 2015 results of the Stress in America survey.  This survey focused on the incidence of discrimination in the U.S. and the impact of discrimination on one’s health. Of note, individuals with emotional support reported they were impacted less and coped better with discrimination.  The 2015 Stress in America survey identified the top six causes of stress as money, work, family responsibilities, personal health concerns, health concerns of family members, and the economy.  More information about the Stress in America survey, as well as the complete report, can be found at http://www.apa.org/news/press/releases/stress/index.aspx.
